Charlie Woods to compete in pre-qualifier for Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches

Charlie Woods, the 15-year-old son of golf legend Tiger Woods, is set to compete in the pre-qualifier for the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, which is his hometown PGA TOUR event. The pre-qualifier will take place at Lost Lake Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida, with Woods teeing off at 7:39 a.m. ET on Thursday alongside Olin Browne Jr. and Ruaidhri McGee. The top five and ties from Lost Lake will advance to the Monday qualifier, where four players will earn spots in the Cognizant Classic.

Despite his young age, Charlie Woods is no stranger to the golf world's spotlight, having participated in the past four editions of the PNC Championship alongside his father. Although they haven't secured a win yet, their similar mannerisms have drawn admiration from golf enthusiasts. Charlie Woods carries an impressive +3 handicap index with the Florida State Golf Association, making him eligible to compete in PGA TOUR pre-qualifiers.

In addition to his appearances at the PNC Championship, Charlie Woods also competed in last fall’s Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship, where he finished T17 in the Boys 14-15 division. With his sights set on his first PGA TOUR start in South Florida, Charlie Woods aims to continue making waves in the golf world.
