Patton Kizzire ends drought with five-stroke victory at Procore Championship
Patton Kizzire secured a decisive five-stroke victory at the Procore Championship, marking his first PGA TOUR win since 2018. Kizzire shot a final-round 2-under 70 at Napa’s Silverado Resort, finishing at 20-under 268, and breaking the tournament record in the process.
This win comes after a 176-event drought since his last victories in Mexico and Hawaii. The 38-year-old credited his ability to stay mentally present and disciplined, which helped him maintain his four-shot lead heading into the final day. Despite struggling with erratic tee shots, Kizzire consistently recovered with solid approach shots, carding three birdies, an eagle, and three bogeys in the final round.
David Lipsky finished in second place with a 71, while Patrick Fishburn claimed third. Defending champion Sahith Theegala tied for fifth after closing with a 72.
Kizzire’s victory guarantees him a PGA TOUR card for the next two years and spots in prestigious events like the Masters, PGA Championship, and The Sentry at Kapalua.
