Qualifiers for all 2025 Signature Events, THE PLAYERS and majors
Billy Horschel’s win at the 2024 BMW PGA Championship, marked by an eagle on the second playoff hole, has earned him a notable exemption for the 2025 U.S. Open and The Open Championship. However, Horschel is already exempt into these majors, so those spots will be filled via other pathways.
Several players have already qualified for major tournaments in 2025, with exemptions covering Signature Events (SE), THE PLAYERS Championship (TPC), the Masters (MAS), the PGA Championship (PGA), the U.S. Open (US), and The Open Championship (OPEN). Noteworthy qualifiers include Ludvig Åberg, Akshay Bhatia, Keegan Bradley, Viktor Hovland, and Rory McIlroy, among others.
Key upcoming events and criteria for qualifying into 2025 Signature Events, THE PLAYERS, and the majors include:
- Masters (April 10-13): Winners of PGA TOUR events with full FedExCup points, the U.S. Mid-Amateur winner, and top 50 in the OWGR by March 31.
- PGA Championship (May 15-18): Winners of PGA TOUR events through the week before, top 70 in a special money list, and top 100 in the OWGR.
- U.S. Open (June 12-15): Top 60 in the OWGR by May 19, along with winners from the 2024 majors and select PGA TOUR events.
- The Open Championship (July 17-20): The top 30 in the Race to Dubai and various amateur champions.
Additional pathways for entry into these tournaments will be finalized as the season progresses.
